Alpaca Knitted Products
The hand knitted garments are produced from hand spun 100% alpaca wool or commercially spun 100% alpaca wool or 80% alpaca/20% other fibre wool.
All wool is produced in New Zealand
The types of products available are:
- Baby – hats, socks/booties, singlets, blankets, to name a few.
- Toddler – hats and socks.
- Adult – Hats, Scarfs, Neck Warmers, Jersies, Ponchos, Shrug, Shawl, Vests, Mitts, Mittens, Gloves, Fingerless Gloves and Socks, to name a few.
- Blankets – Knee rugs, Baby cot/Capsule blankest, Baby Sacks and Car Rugs.
Wool
Home Spun
This lovely soft warm alpaca wool is spun and sourced from the alpacas at Bonnack Grove Alpacas.
The wool is available for sale along with knitted garments from this spun wool.
Commercially Spun
Majority of this wool is 100% alpaca with a small portion 80% alpaca/20% merino.
It is available in 1, 2, 4, 5 & 8 ply.
Alpaca Hats
Sizes range from babies, small, medium and large.
Various types and colour of hat avaiable.
Made from commercially spun alpaca/merino 80/20% or 100% alpaca or home spun 100% alpaca.
Keeps your head warm during those chilly winter months.
Alpaca Scarfs and Neck Warmers
Scarf sizes come in medium, long and wide. Some alpacas scarfs come with tassels.
Neck Warmer sizes come in single, double and triple.
Keep your neck lovely and warm to fend off the cold winter months.
Alpaca Jerseys, Vests and Tops
Alpaca Jerseys
There are three types of alpaca jersey available.
- Crew neck
- V neck – are available in various sizes and colours
- Turtle neck diamond pattered – are end of line with a few colours left available in medium to large sizes. These are ideal to wear under jackets or coats.
These alpaca jerseys are made from commercially spun alpaca/merino 80/20% or 100% alpaca.
Warm and comfortable to were without the itchy wool feel when wearing a jersey on those chilly winter months.
Alpaca Vests
Various types:
- Open Front
- V neck
- V neck short
Available in various colours and sizes.
These alpaca jerseys are made from commercially spun alpaca/merino 80/20% or 100% alpaca.
Alpaca Ponchos
There are various length of alpaca poncho available:
- Short
- Medium
- Long
They come in various colours where one size fits all.
These alpaca ponchos are made from commercially spun alpaca 80%/merino 20%.
For extra warmth throw on an Alpaca Poncho.
Alpaca Halter Top
End of line available in small or medium sizes.
These alpaca halter tops are made from 80% alpaca/20% merino.
Alpaca Gloves, Mittens and Mitts
A selection of gloves available from small to large. These come in various colours. Some colours there are limited in sizes.
These alpaca gloves are made from commercially spun alpaca/merino 80/20% or 100% alpaca or hand spun 100% alpaca.
Hand knitted mittens produced from 100% home spun alpaca in medium size.
Fingerless gloves in small to medium sizes from home and commercially spun alpaca.
Keep your hands warm and comfortable on those chilly winter months.
Alpaca Socks
End of line, limited stock left.
The commercially produced alpaca socks are 80% alpaca and 20% other fibre.
There are gumboot, sports and dress socks left, Gumboot and sports socks limited sizes left, Dress socks come in small, medium or large.
Alpaca Blankets
A selection of alpaca blankets available.
The small sized alpaca blankets can be used for babies’ cot/capsule or on the knee.
The larger sized alpaca blankets can be used as travel rugs or an added layer on the bed. Wrap it around your shoulders as an extra layer of warmth.
Alpaca Fibre
Fibre direct from the animals.
If you are interested in spinning your own alpaca yarn, the fibre is available for sale.
Shearing is carried out between October and December. To view the different colours available, please contact us during this time. If the fibre is not sold by late January, it will be sent to the wool broker.
